Apple and its refusal to use mainstream terms to describe its products and services is simply genius. We will reportedly get a look at ‘Apple Intelligence’, short for AI, next week.
‘Apple Intelligence’ is an Extremely Clever Take on the Acronym AI and it is Destined to Grab Attention
According to a new report by Bloomberg, Apple is going to market its artificial intelligence features under the guise of ‘Apple Intelligence’ which is short for AI. A stroke of marketing genius right there.
This company always toys around with existing terminologies and naming schemes so that it fits its marketing machinery somehow.
Vision Pro is clearly a mixed reality headset because you get a passthrough view of the world outside and yet Apple calls it a ‘spatial computer.’ And instead of using the regular AI term, the company is all set to do its own twist on it.
Though it’s fairly obvious what these rumored AI features will be used for, the newly published report gives us a quick glimpse at what we can expect from Apple Intelligence next week. For example, you will be able to summarize webpages in Safari, suggested replies in Mail app, audio transcriptions in the Voice Memo app, news summaries in News app and so much more. It’s going to be everywhere, allowing you to cut through long lines of text easily, in most cases.
AI is not new at this point and it has been around for years, but it’s true some things take off only when Apple does it. Artificial intelligence will receive a severe boost next week and it will give others a chance to massively improve, too in order to keep the competition going.
Are you excited about next week?
