Beta 2 of visionOS 2 is now available to download for developers if you have a Vision Pro headset.

Vision Pro Receives visionOS 2 Beta 2 Update – Download it Today with Bug Fixes and Improvements

visionOS 2 checks all the right boxes with its feature additions. Rather than adding drastic changes and throwing people off, it adds features like Train Mode, wider external display support for the Mac, new gestures, the ability to convert regular photos to Spatial ones, and so on. It’s not a big update yet a very meaningful one from all angles.

All these features are available as a beta and you can test them out, too. If you already are running visionOS 2 beta, then you will be delighted to learn that visionOS 2 beta 2 is now available for download. All you have to do is go to Settings > General > Software Update and you’ll see the second developer beta. Plug your Vision Pro into a power source and install the update right away.

Though the Vision Pro 2 is quite a while away, Apple is reportedly working on a cheaper Vision headset. It is rumored that the cheaper version of the headset will require a tethered iPhone or Mac to work. This also hints towards the fact that Apple is going to bake visionOS inside compatible iPhones that can only be accessed when tethered to the headset. How Apple actually plans to navigate these waters is definitely going to be an exciting.

For now, let’s focus on the visionOS 2 beta 2 until the new hardware actually arrives.
