Today is a great day for software enthusiasts as Apple has seeded beta 1 of iOS 17.6, iPadOS 17.6, macOS 14.6, watchOS 10.6 and tvOS 17.6.
Apple Seeds First Betas of iOS 17.6, iPadOS 17.6, macOS 14.6, watchOS 10.6 and tvOS 17.6 to Developers
While we are busy playing around with iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11 and tvOS 18 betas, Apple has seeded new developer updates for its publicly available software. If you’re a developer right now, you can grab the updates over the air.
If you have an iPhone or iPad, and happen to be enrolled in Apple’s developer program, you can get the new update by going to Settings > General > Software Update on your device. Remember, if you already have iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 beta installed, you won’t be able to see or download this update.
Downloading watchOS 10.6 beta 1 is also a piece of cake. As long as you’re entailed in the developer program, just go to Watch > General > Software Update on your iPhone to grab the update. You will be required to place your Apple Watch on its magnetic charger to install the update.
macOS Sonoma users and developers can grab the first beta by going to System Settings > General > Software Update. Once the update shows up, you can download and install it.
Last but not the least, tvOS 17.6 is also available for download. Getting it is as simple as downloading any other software update over the air. Go to Settings > System > Software Update to download tvOS 17.6 beta 1.
If there’s anything noteworthy regarding these updates, I’ll report back soon.
