Knowing whether or not your device will work with the latest software is always important. That essentially decides whether you should hold on to your gadget for another year or should you upgrade. Even if your iPhone or iPad is a couple of years old, it’s fantastic to know that it is being supported by Apple with its latest release. However, if you have something that sits at the bottom of the list, then you might want to consider upgrading soon. Though Apple keeps on pushing out security updates for older devices from time to time, you will start missing out on updates that bring in new features, such as iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 itself.
Do keep one thing in mind – even if your device is in the list, the latest artificial intelligence features require the latest devices from Apple. It’s nothing unheard of and Apple has left out old devices out in the cold when it comes to certain features in new software updates. This year is no different at all.
