Juno for Vision Pro just received a major update and allows you to experience 3D and 360-degree content straight from YouTube.

Experience Wonderful 3D and 360-Degree Content from YouTube with the Updated Juno app for Vision Pro

There’s no official YouTube app for Vision Pro. Sounds hard to digest, right? That’s the truth. However, a third-party app called Juno has filled that void for quite some time and it costs just $4.99.

Today, Juno received a major update, bringing the app to version 2.0. Apart from a ton of visual upgrades that make the app feel right at home on visionOS, the thing you should care about the most is support for 3D (also called 180 or VR-180) and 360-degree videos.

If you have a Vision Pro and are currently watching videos in plain 2D, you’re doing the hardware massive disservice. With Juno adding support for both 3D and 360 videos, the YouTube experience truly goes to the next level.

Personally, I am a huge fan of 180-degree content as it gives you the impression that you’re actually there. But, there’s not a lot of great 180-degree content on YouTube so far. Hopefully, with time, more content creators will tap into this format.

The latest Juno update uses Apple’s Metal API to upscale 4K videos to 6K as well, adding just a little extra bit of oomph to the content you love to watch on Vision Pro.

If you already own Juno, this update is free. Downloading the app for the first time? That’ll be $4.99, and you can download it from here.
