Probably the least awaited update, you can download and install tvOS 18 beta 2 on your Apple TV over the air.

tvOS 18 Beta 2 Arrives with Bug Fixes and Improvements Over the Initial Release – Download the Update Over the Air Today

tvOS 18 is such a small update, Apple could have just skipped its announcement completely and no one would have noticed. The update only has two features worth mentioning – InSight and support for 21:9 projectors, that’s it. However, the update is still a part of Apple’s roadmap and an extremely important one if you’re using your Apple TV as a hub for your HomeKit setup.

In order to download the new update, all you have to do is go to Settings > System > Software Update. The update will show up in a few seconds and will become available to download and install. I will recommend installing the update now rather than later.

This update should add some stability to your Apple TV in day to day tasks, hopefully something you will benefit from in one form or the other.

Other than this update, Apple has also seeded a new HomePod beta update, and you can download it straight from the Home app on your iPhone, iPad or Mac. Just go to the Software Update section and you’ll see the latest update show right up. You can either choose to install the update manually or let it install automatically in the background, it’s entirely up to you.

If you want to give tvOS 18 beta a spin on your Apple TV, be sure to check out the tutorial posted here.
