The latest and greatest tvOS 18 beta is now available for download on Apple TV. Here’s how you can install it.

tvOS 18 is Now Available with Bunch of New Features and Changes – Download the Beta Today on Apple TV

tvOS 18 updates are concise and snappy. There’s only so much you can add to Apple TV that makes it better. The primary job of Apple TV is play videos and show you content whenever you demand it, and it does it so, so well.

However, tvOS 18 beta is now available that comes with a bunch of new technologies and features that aim to improve the existing experience. Interestingly, installing the new tvOS 18 beta isn’t a difficult thing either. All it takes is a little bit of shuffling around in a couple of menus inside the Apple TV itself and the new beta will be delivered to your over the air.

Here’s what you need to do in order to download and install tvOS 18 beta right now:

Step 1. Turn on your Apple TV.

Step 2. Find ‘Settings’ on the home page and open it.

Step 3. Scroll all the way down and open up ‘System.’

Step 4. Now open ‘Software Updates’ and let the page refresh completely.

Step 5. Open ‘Get Beta Updates’ and select what sort of beta you want delivered to you over the air. Select ‘Developer’ if you want to download and install tvOS 18 immediately.

Step 6. Once you’ve made your choice, select Update Software and you’ll get the tvOS 18 beta update for download.

tvOS updates are usually stable and you can get through them on a daily usage basis. It’s iOS and iPadOS that can put you in a miserable position at times, since there’s so much you can do on those devices therefore chances of failure are high. With Apple TV, good luck crashing that video stream because a few lines of code changed. But, that doesn’t mean you won’t run into problems in certain apps. It’s normal, and that’s the beta life.

The full and final version of tvOS 18 is expected to release some time later this year, hopefully in September, if past release cycles are anything to go by.
