Turns out, not all devices will have Apple Intelligence features. Here are all the iPhone, iPad and Mac devices compatible with it.

Is Your Device Getting Apple Intelligence Features? These are the Supported iPhone, iPad and Mac Devices

New technologies require new hardware and sometimes there’s no escaping it either. While we were mesmerized by the capabilities of Apple Intelligence in the opening keynote, turns out, not everyone will get it. In fact, even if you have an iPhone 15 or iPhone 15 Plus, which is part of the latest flagship lineup, the feature won’t work on it. You need top-end hardware for this to work.

Here are all the iPhones that are compatible with Apple Intelligence:

  • iPhone 15 Pro
  • iPhone 15 Pro Max

Sounds unfair? Check out the iPad compatibility list below and sink into your chair in disbelief:

  • iPad Pro (M1 or later)
  • iPad Air (M1 or later)

Not a single Intel Mac is supported by Apple Intelligence. If you need a sign to upgrade, this is your lucky day:

  • MacBook Pro (M1 or later)
  • iMac (M1 or later)
  • Mac mini (M1 or later)
  • Mac Studio (M1 Max and later)
  • Mac Pro (M2 Ultra)
  • MacBook Air (M1 and later)

Those fancy proofreading and image conjuring features definitely require a lot of compute power, and the other chips simply can’t do it. So, if you want to take advantage of this, you might want to consider upgrading to the bare minimum of having a device with the M1 chip. In the iPhone’s case, that’s the A17 Pro.
