Rumor has it that the Apple Watch Series 10 will definitely ship with larger displays and a faster chip.
Apple Watch Series 10 Will Have Bigger Displays, Faster Processor, Thinner Design, Maybe New Health Features
Apart from having larger displays, which we’ve heard about already, the design of the Series 10 will not change and will look similar to the current Series 9. That’s according to Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter.
The one thing that’s definitely changing is the thickness as it is believed to be slightly thinner than the Series 9. If you’re a fan of thin hardware, this is going to be your year.
Another thing that’s going to be new in the Apple Watch Series 10 is the processor. Interestingly, Apple gave the Series 9 and Ultra 2 a processor bump last year with the S9 chip. It seems as though the company is set to do another upgrade this time around, too. This is a surprising move given how long the company stuck with the S8 chip.
It’s also being reported that Apple wants to bring sleep apnea and hypertension detection to the Apple Watch Series 10, but so far, that plan hasn’t gone through smoothly. Whether Apple will completely scrap that idea this year or ship it remains to be seen. But, given this could be a massive selling point to consumers, Apple might figure out how to bring these health features to the masses, eventually.
I was holding back from saying this but I was hoping the Apple Watch Series 10 would be a massive upgrade. After all, it’s the tenth-generation product of such a popular wearable, a radical redesign would have been an icing on the cake. Instead, we are getting bigger displays. Not sure how that helps.
However, I believe Apple will still end up surprising a lot of people at the time of announcement with something we don’t know about. Let’s see what sort of feature the company ends up adding to make use of that large display.
