Apple Releases visionOS 2 Beta 4 for Vision Pro Owners, Download it Today
visionOS 2 checks all the right boxes when it comes to features and changes. You get the ability to transform regular photos into spatial ones, there’s an improved Photos app experience, new train support in Travel Mode and a lot more. There are plenty of features here given how new the Vision Pro is.
In order to download and install visionOS 2 beta 4, launch the Settings app, then go to General > Software Update. When the beta 4 update becomes available, simply install it without wasting any time at all. Make sure your Vision Pro has a lot of power remaining. I will suggest plugging it into a power source to ensure the battery remains topped up during the entire installation process.
Please do keep in mind that visionOS 2 is won’t be available as a public beta. It is currently available for developers and will be like that till the end of the year.
The full and final version of visionOS 2 will be released at the end of this year. Though rumors are circulating about a cheaper Vision headset in the works, it’s unlikely it will be released this year. However, if you do have a Vision Pro, make sure you install the latest visionOS 2 update to reap all its benefits.
The cheaper version of the Vision headset is something the world truly needs. The Vision Pro is awfully expensive and not everyone can get their hands on it. It’s technology that should be in the hands of masses, just like the Meta Quest. Sure, the Meta Quest may not offer the same high quality experiences, but at least it is affordable and gets the job done. Can Apple one-up Meta and bring a cheap Vision to market soon? Guess we will only find out in the months to come.
