Been waiting for Resident Evil 7 for the iPhone, iPad and Mac? It’s finally here and you can download it right away.
Resident Evil Arrives on the iPhone 15 Pro, iPad and Apple Silicon Macs – it’s Free to Download, too
It feels unbelievable how we can experience console games on a device as small as an iPhone or iPad. Sure, the graphics might be toned down in some places so that the game can keep up with the hardware, but hey, it’s Resident Evil 7 right in the palm of your hands.
Before you get too excited about the game, there are a few things you should know. First of all, the game requires an iPhone 15 Pro at least to run. If you think Apple Intelligence requirement was harsh, you’ll get the same treatment here, too. Secondly, the game requires 33GB of space and you should have an Apple silicon Mac for this. Having twice the storage space available to download and install the game is recommended.
Though the game is free to download, but only a small portion of it. There is an in-app purchase to purchase and unlock the full game and DLCs are available if you want to keep yourself hooked to the game. But, the fact that the game is partially playable is a great move as it allows everyone to get a taste of what they are getting into. If you like it, drop your money on it. If you don’t, just keep it as is.
The game features support for external controls which is excellent given how tiresome on-screen controls can get. If you have an Xbox or PlayStation controller lying around, it’s your moment to shine.
You can download the game from the App Store from here. It’s a universal app so it will work just fine across all platforms.
