Some major iPhone 17 related news just dropped and it’s shaping up really nice. You can expect a new high-end ‘Slim’ model next year, too.

Apple iPhone 17 Prices and Display Sizes Details in Brand New Leak, ‘Slim’ Model Included that Starts from $1,299

We’re this close to the release of the iPhone 16 lineup. But of course, the rumor mill does not go to sleep and today we have news about the iPhone 17 once again. The same iPhone 17 that is set for release next year.

Previously, we heard news that the iPhone 17 Pro Max will be the first smartphone in Apple’s lineup to feature three 48-megapixel camera sensors. If today’s report is anything to go by, we’re going to be treated to an extremely capable iPhone lineup.

The leak goes into detail about the display sizes we can expect next year along with their prices. The good news is, all the models will be using LTPO displays which means we can expect 120Hz displays across the board. Since it’s LTPO technology, these are variable refresh rate displays forged with battery saving in mind.

The leak says that the iPhone 17 will have a 6.27-inch display and will start at $799. The iPhone 17 Pro will have a 6.27-inch display and it will start at $1,099. iPhone 17 Pro Max will have a 6.86-inch display and will start at $1,199.

However, there’s a new iPhone 17 ‘Slim’ model planned for next year with a 6.65-inch display and that will start at $1,299. This model is rumored to have the A19 chip, dual cameras on the back, aluminum chassis and 8GB of RAM.

Wait, I’ll touch on this more at the end.

Right off the bat, you might have noticed the $1,299 price tag for the ‘Slim’ model. And yes, that’s the most expensive iPhone Apple is going to sell. Not only that, the iPhone 17 Pro starts at $1,099 instead of $999.

The leak suggests the iPhone 17 Pro will have 12GB of RAM. All the processing will be handled by the A19 Pro chip and all Pro models will have a triple 48-megapixel camera system on the back. The non-Pro iPhones will get the regular A19 chip.

Now, the iPhone 17 Slim is shaping up to be an awful phone despite commanding a high price point. You can save money and get more cameras and RAM, but $1,299 gets you one less of everything, even a smaller display. Not sure if this part of the leak is true or not.

If this is a ‘concept’ iPhone of sorts, I will recommend staying away from it until we have more news about it.
