The fresh leak surrounding the iPhone SE 4 makes the smartphone something to look forward to early next.
iPhone SE 4 Will be a Huge Upgrade Over the SE 3 – Will Have OLED Display, Face ID, 48MP Camera, USB-C and More
I’ve been hearing about the iPhone SE 4 for quite a while now. But, compared to the flagship lineup, it doesn’t really interest me that much. However, if the latest leak is true, then we’re in for a massive treat early next year.
The information leaked on Weibo paints a rather fantastic picture of the iPhone SE 4. Starting off with the display, the leaker suggests the smartphone will have a 6.06-inch OLED display. Not only we’re getting a bigger display, but also a better one, too.
This display will also include Face ID at the top for unlocking and authentication. Touch ID has been a major part of the iPhone SE lineup and I’m super glad Apple is going to throw it in the bin once and for all. Face ID is one thing that makes the most sense on the iPhone lineup.
Instead of having a Lightning port, the new iPhone SE will feature USB-C for file transfers, connecting accessories and charging. USB-C opens up the iPhone to a lot of possibilities and Lightning was a limitation that really, really needs to go away at this point.
Here’s the part that will really get you excited. The iPhone SE will feature a 48-megapixel camera. Given a previous rumor that the iPhone SE will feature the same back as the iPhone 16, it’s safe to assume that this 48-megapixel sensor will be accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera.
Last but not the least, the new iPhone SE will feature the fast A18 chip as well as 8GB of RAM which means Apple Intelligence will be a go.
On the pricing front, the phone is expected to retail around $499 and $549. Yes, that’s more expensive than the current model, but hey, we’re getting so much for that amount of money. It is expected that this phone will launch some time between March and May of 2025.
