Apple Intelligence and ChatGPT Coming this Year, New Siri Experience is Coming in 2025

According to Bloomberg, the new Siri experience is set for release in Spring of 2025. It will roll out as part of the iOS 18.4 beta for testing after which it will be rolled out to everyone in Spring. If you were excited to jump onto the new Siri bandwagon alongside your new iPhone 16, you might want to dial down your hopes a little.

Interestingly, what we will get this year is ChatGPT integration along with Apple Intelligence. For a lot of people, that’s more than enough. However, the new Siri experience goes far deeper into the operating system, allowing users to take actions within apps, do stuff based on context and so much more. It’s truly an overhauled version of Siri everyone has been waiting for.

Once you start reading up on what the new Siri is capable of doing, you’ll start to realize the wait is going to be excruciating. But hey, it’s going to be totally worth it.

At the time of writing, there is a list of devices that will be able to run Apple Intelligence, and you can check it out here. The reason why this list is so small is simple, the new features require a ton of processing power and memory, something which most iPhone and iPad devices lack.

It remains to be seen if Apple figures out a way to bring these features to older iPhone and iPad models by simply processing requests server-side rather than on-device. Apple could do that if they wanted to, but for the sake of privacy, it insists on doing it on-device.
