Registered developers can download and install a revised version of iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia beta 3 over the air.
Apple Releases Revised Builds of iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia Beta 3 – Available Over the Air Right Now
Apple released iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 beta 3 alongside macOS Sequoia beta 3 just last week. Today, Apple is taking this up a notch, just a little, with a revised beta 3 of both aforementioned software to registered developers.
If you’re already running iOS 18 or iPadOS 18 beta 3, you can download the revised build by going to Settings > General > Software Update. Wait for the update to show up and then install it. Given the existence of this software at such an odd time, it’s best not to wait at all and install the update right away.
The revised version of macOS Sequoia beta 3 is available, too. Just go to System Settings > General > Software Update in order to install it. It may take a while to download and install, it’s a macOS update, after all. Once done, you can start using your Mac as you normally would.
With iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 beta 3, Apple introduced a bunch of new changes and brought RCS messaging to more countries. It remains to be seen what this revised version brings to the table. It’s way too early to speculate, but there’s a high chance that this is an extremely important update with security fixes. Whatever the case might be, don’t waste time and install the revised betas right away.
If there’s something noteworthy in these updates, I will definitely highlight them, don’t worry. Make sure you plug your device to a power source before performing the update. It’s best to take all precautionary measures so that the update installs as smoothly as possible. You really don’t want to risk installing an update like this with very little battery life remaining.
