TinyPod is a little case for your Apple Watch that basically turns it into an iPod of sorts. No, wait. Maybe a smaller iPhone for your bigger iPhone.
Ever Wanted to Use Your Apple Watch Differently? The TinyPod Wants You to Do Just That
What TinyPod aims to be for your Apple Watch is a few things depending on how you look at it. Immediately, you are greeted with a click wheel at the bottom to do all your scrolling. That already looks familiar to the iPod. So yes, it turns your Apple Watch into an iPod, right? Or, if you squint your eyes a little, it also turns your Apple Watch into an even smaller iPhone which you can easily pocket around your house.
Honestly, I can’t put my finger on it, and that’s why I absolutely love it. Because this product is not forcing me to use the Apple Watch in just one way. You can absolutely get creative with it and it’s up to you how you want the Apple Watch to work for you when it’s inside the TinyPod.
When you first insert your Apple Watch into the TinyPod, you have to turn off Wrist Detection, otherwise the Apple Watch will constantly lock itself down. Once that feature is off, you will be saving a ton of battery life too, with a slight risk of losing your device and privacy if it falls into the wrong hands. But, that’s the risk you need to take with TinyPod.
The creators of TinyPod have even left a cutout at the back. This allows you to charge your Apple Watch without having to take it out of the TinyPod.
Now, the thing is, the Apple Watch just sits on my wrist all day and I never ever give much thought to it. The TinyPod suddenly gives you an idea about the different ways you can use your Apple Watch. Sure, you’ll give up the fitness tracking if the Apple Watch isn’t on your wrist, but hey, you’re left with a tiny smart device that does so many things. Do you even know ho cool the TinyPod would be if you use it just for texting? Or maybe a tiny little music player that runs watchOS?
