If you were hoping to test drive the visionOS 2 public beta on Vision Pro, Apple has confirmed there won’t be any right on its website.

Apple Beta Website Confirms there Won’t be Any visionOS 2 Public Beta for Vision Pro Users

Public beta of iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11 and tvOS 18 is right around the corner. I’m sure you’re excited to test drive Apple’s beta software without the developer-only hassles. However, if you’re a Vision Pro owner, you might want to dial down your hopes a little.

Apple has confirmed on its Apple Beta website that visionOS 2 won’t be a part of the public beta, everything else will be, however. I’m not quite sure why Apple is doing this, maybe because it doesn’t want to give pre-release software to regular people just yet on a hardware as complicated as the Vision Pro.

Given how easy it is to access developer betas anyway, you can just download it without paying any fee to Apple, really. But, would I recommend installing the update on a device this expensive? Absolutely not. I wouldn’t even try such a thing. It’s best to just wait for visionOS 2 final version to arrive later this year and enjoy all the new features then.
