Apple has ordered more units of iPhone 16 Pro compared to the standard iPhone 16 from its suppliers, according to a new report.
Supply Chain Reveals Apple Plans to Ship More iPhone 16 Pro Units Compared to the Standard Model
The Cupertino company plans to go big this year with the iPhone 16 lineup. However, if you look into the supply chain, you’ll realize Apple is betting more on iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max as a far popular choice among buyers compared to the standard iPhone 16.
According to the camera details we already know about the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max, the periscope lens module is coming to the smaller Pro model.
If you look at the amount of lenses Apple has ordered from its supplier LG Innotech, according to The Elec, you get a good idea about the number of units Apple is going to order more, and clearly, Apple is giving the iPhone 16 Pro lineup more preference.
It’s estimated that Apple is ordering around 90.1 million units of the new iPhone lineup initially. The breakdown of the number is as follows:
- iPhone 16 – 23.5 million units.
- iPhone 16 Plus – 5.8 million units.
- iPhone 16 Pro – 26.6 million units.
- iPhone 16 Pro Max – 33.2 million units.
Again, this is just a rough estimate based on data available by the supply chain. But, it gives us an idea which model Apple is favoring this year and clearly it’s the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max.
The biggest selling point this year is going to be Apple Intelligence, and all iPhone models this year are going to support the feature. But, I want to know what is the special thing about the Pro models that makes Apple think it will be far more popular than the standard one.
