Apple Intelligence is delayed until October, at least. But, Apple is going to launch the iPhone 16 in September without any delay.
iPhone 16 is Going to Launch on Time Despite Delays to Apple Intelligence, According to Mark Gurman
One glance at things Apple announced this year and you can tell the core feature of the iPhone 16 is going to be Apple Intelligence. However, the feature is delayed till October but the iPhone 16 is on track for release in September, according to Mark Gurman in his Power On newsletter.
Apple Intelligence is set to be a part of the iOS 18.1 update. Currently, said update is available for developers to test out and it won’t be released to the public until October. This means when you do get your iPhone 16 or iPhone 16 Pro, it won’t include any of the AI features Apple announced. Instead of delaying the iPhone 16 launch for its AI endeavor, Apple is staying on its schedule and hopes to announce the phones on September 10.
There are a ton of things we already know about the iPhone 16 lineup. First and foremost, all of these phones are going to ship with the A18 chip and 8GB of RAM for Apple Intelligence. A recent leak suggests that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max is getting a modest battery capacity upgrade as well. I’m not sure if that will translate to extra battery hours, we’ll only know when the official announcement is here.
Latest leaked images even shed light on the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro color options, too. Though the rumored bronze-like color option is missing from the photo, but it seems as though it’s definitely happening this year.
