A new report says Apple’s tabletop robot is coming between 2026 and 2027. It may be priced around the $1,000 mark.
Apple’s Former Car Executive Leading Tabletop Robot Project, Coming in 2026-2027 with $1,000 Price Tag
News regarding Apple’s tabletop robot is nothing new at this point. In fact, we saw references to it in leaked code as well. It is most likely an Apple Intelligence-driven device, powered by the A18 chip, if the recent leaks are anything to go by.
However, according to a new report by Bloomberg, the device is essentially a display that is mounted on a robotic arm that can swivel around and do a complete 360, if needed. This ‘robot’ will serve its purpose as a ‘smart home command center’ and can be used for various tasks such as making FaceTime calls, controlling your smart home, and more.
When called upon, the robot will turn its display towards the user, hence the robotic arm. It’s going to be the coolest thing you can put in your home. A display that aligns itself to you rather than the other way around? Sign me up today.
Given the description of this robotic masterpiece, it’s absolutely clear it is designed to bring Apple Intelligence into a home, or any room it is placed in. However, with its $1,000 price point, it remains to be seen if it will be able to grab attention of buyers given how similar products that cost far less. I’m talking about the Echo Show 10 that costs around $249.99. Sure, it doesn’t pack AI, but that’s the price Apple needs to go against.
The report says Apple’s executive who was overlooking the car project has been assigned to work on the robot. Given we never got the car, I hope Apple delivers the robot, at least.
