visionOS 2 Beta 5 is Here for the Vision Pro – Download and Install it Right Away
visionOS 2 brings the right amount of improvements to the Vision Pro. It doesn’t go beyond, doesn’t stay under, it’s absolutely perfect. Right now, the fifth beta of the software is available for download and here’s what you need to do in order to get it.
- Launch the Settings app.
- Go to General > Software Update.
- When visionOS 2 beta 5 shows up, download and install it.
Leave your Vision Pro connected to power when you install this update. It may take a while to install so make sure a steady supply of power is given to the headset. If something goes wrong, you’ll be forced to take your Vision Pro to Apple.
With rumors of a cheaper Vision headset on the horizon, it’s great to see Apple now dialing down on the new platform in any way. There is a lot of potential here which is only marred by one simple thing – the price. If Apple manages to bring that down, it will be a game-changer. Until that happens, make sure you keep your current software updated to the latest build for improved experiences.
