Vision Pro Users can Now Download and Install visionOS 2 Beta 8 with Bug Fixes and Other Improvements
Before I say anything at all – please know there is no public beta for visionOS 2 at all. If someone says there is, you’ve probably being scammed into something. So please, exercise caution and know that the update is only available for registered developers.
With that off my chest, here’s what you need to do in order to download visionOS 2 on your Vision Pro right now, if you already have beta 7 installed:
- Launch the ‘Settings’ app on your Vision Pro.
- Navigate to General > Software Update.
- Download and install the visionOS 2 beta 8 from here.
visionOS is a brand new operating system and Apple is playing it safe by sprinkling only a handful of changes over the original release. You won’t find anything overwhelming at all. It is the right amount of changes for something so new.
Though different users suggest the new beta software is extremely stable for use when it comes to daily tasks, but given how expensive the headset is, I wouldn’t recommend installing it at all. There are chances something might go wrong and it’s not worth putting yourself through extra trouble just to try out unfinished software.
Instead, wait a few more weeks and visionOS 2 will be available for download in its full and final form. Different reports suggest September 18 to be the day Apple releases the final software, so mark your calendars, if you want to.
If you’re already testing out visionOS 2 beta, make sure you get the latest beta update in right away for extra stability in day-to-day usage.
