macOS Sequoia 15.0 public beta 6 is now available for download and install if you have a Mac running the previous beta.
Apple Releases macOS Sequoia Public Beta 6 with Loads of Bug Fixes and Improvements, Download it Right Away
Those running macOS Sequoia public beta 5 should go ahead and download public beta 6. In order to initiate the download right away, here’s what you need to do:
- Make sure you are connected to a Wi-Fi network.
- Save your work to a secure location.
- Go to System Settings > General > Software Update.
- Install macOS Sequoia public beta 6 when it shows up.
I’m convinced at this point macOS is designed to update as slowly as possible. From the large download size to an incredibly lengthy installation time, it’s something everyone has to deal with, even though we have ultra-fast M-series chips inside our Macs. But hey, it’s still not as bad as Intel-powered Macs, right?
I highly recommend installing the new public beta without wasting any time at all. Chances are, you’re testing the update on a daily driver Mac, so you do need all the stability there is. Public beta 6 adds a ton of improvements, and that’s exactly what you need in this moment in time.
The full and final version of macOS Sequoia 15.0 will be available alongside iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 in September. But, do keep one thing in mind, macOS 15.0 does not include Apple Intelligence. All the AI features are coming with the macOS 15.1 update, and those features require an Apple silicon Mac to work. If you have an Intel Mac, maybe it’s time to say goodbye and upgrade to something more recent.
