macOS Sequoia beta 5 update for developers is now available on the Mac. Here’s how you can download and install it.
Beta 5 of macOS Sequoia has been Released for Developers – Download and Install it Today
iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 beta updates are always exciting, but macOS Sequoia beta may take away the thunder, too. Right now, the fifth beta of macOS Sequoia is now available, and you can download it right away.
Do keep in mind that this is macOS Sequoia 15.0, not 15.1. This means it does not include Apple Intelligence. If you’re interested in testing out Apple Intelligence, then be sure to read up more on macOS 15.1. It does require a Mac that supports Apple Intelligence, otherwise the update won’t show up for you. Also, AI features aren’t available in the EU and China, but Apple is working to bring them there.
Coming back to macOS Sequoia beta 5, you can download and install it right now. Just follow the steps outlined below:
- Launch ‘System Settings’ by clicking on the Apple logo in the menu bar at the top.
- Now click on ‘General.’
- Open up ‘Software Update.’
- Once here, let the page refresh properly and macOS Sequoia beta 5 will become available for download. Just install it and wait for it to complete.
Installation may take a while which is completely normal. Once done, you can start using your Mac as you normally would.
As ever, if there’s any noteworthy in this update, I will do a separate post on it. But, before I get to that, please make sure you download beta 5 right now so that features like iPhone Mirroring work flawlessly.
