Vision Pro users can now download and install visionOS 2 beta 7 from the Settings app right away.
visionOS 2 Beta 7 Now Available for Download with More Stability and Improvements
The new beta adds a ton of stability and performance improvements to visionOS 2. If you have been testing out the developer beta for quite a while, you should go ahead and download the update by following the steps below:
- Launch ‘Settings.’
- Go to ‘General.’
- Open ‘Software Update.’
- Download and install visionOS 2 beta 7 from here.
Given how amazing the Vision Pro is, it’s sad to see the headset not getting enough attention due to its high price. Hopefully, Apple’s lower-priced Vision headset will change all that. But, to make that happen, Apple needs to make a lot of compromises, starting with the displays it ships with the Vision headset.
Rumor has it that Apple is going to ship the next headset with lower-resolution displays. Given how Apple works, users might not even notice the lower-resolution displays at all as the pixel-per-inch count would still place the headset inside the Retina range for high quality experiences.
But, it remains to be seen how the cheaper Vision headset is going to be different from the Pro model in key areas. It truly is going to be exciting whatever Apple ends up doing with Vision, except for axing it completely, of course.
