You can now download and install iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 beta 7 on your iPhone and iPad. Here’s how you do that right away.
Download and Install iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 Beta 7 Today if You’re a Developer
The seventh beta of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 is here for developers. If you have beta 6 installed on your iPhone and iPad, you can install beta 7 right away. I recommend doing so right away since the update has a lot of bug fixes and improvements under the hood.
First of all, make sure you have 50% or more battery life remaining on your device. Make sure you are connected to a fast and stable Wi-Fi connection as well. Once done, follow the steps below:
- Launch the ‘Settings’ app.
- Tap on ‘General.’
- Now tap on ‘Software Update.’
- Download and install iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 beta 7 when it shows up.
Given we are seven betas deep into the life of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, we can expect a ton of stability at this point. In fact, I will just recommend installing the update on your primary device, as long as you have taken a proper backup using Finder and iCloud. You can follow the guide here for developer beta and here for public beta.
I’m sure Apple has thrown in a change or two in iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 beta 7. If there’s something noteworthy, I’ll definitely highlight it for everyone in a separate blog post. Before that even happens, I urge you to download and install the latest beta in the meantime so that your iPhone and iPad gets one step closer to complete stability.
Once more thing, iOS 18.0 and iPadOS 18.0 do not include Apple Intelligence. All the AI features are part of the iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 update. You also need a device compatible with Apple Intelligence otherwise the beta won’t even show up for you.
