You can now download and install beta 3 of macOS Sequoia 15.1 with Apple Intelligence on your Mac.
Apple Releases macOS Sequoia 15.1 Beta 3 with Apple Intelligence and Loads of Bug Fixes and Improvements
Before I go forward, I want to make it clear that this update is only available for users who own an Apple silicon Mac. If you don’t have one, you won’t even see the update. If you do, you can download it, install it and update the previous beta to the new one.
With that out of the way, you can download and install macOS Sequoia 15.1 beta 3 over the air by going to System Settings > General > Software Update. Give this page a while to refresh and the update will become available for download to you. Once it does, proceed with the installation.
As ever, the new update is mainly a bug-fix release and one you should install right away if you are testing out the operating system on a daily driver Mac. If you’ve been facing issues on your Mac, hopefully this update will fix most of them. We still have a long way to go until the final release so expect more stability fixes to arrive in due course.
There is a chance Apple may have slipped in a surprise or two in this update, and if I come across it you’ll know about it, too.
Currently, macOS Sequoia 15.1 is not available as a public beta and there’s no indication if it will ever be. There is a slight chance Apple might release it as a public beta once macOS 15.0 is available to everyone for download later this year. If Apple releases macOS 15.1 as a public beta now, no-one is going to test drive macOS 15.0 at all.
If you have a Mac that is compatible with Apple Intelligence, you can take macOS Sequoia 15.1 beta for a spin right now. Check out the tutorial posted here for more details. Just select ‘macOS Sequoia 15.1’ when given the choice which beta you want to test out. The update won’t show up for you if you have an Intel Mac.
