No delays whatsoever. The final version of macOS Sequoia will be released alongside iOS 18 and iPadOS 18.
Apple will Not Delay macOS Sequoia – Will be Released Alongside iOS 18 and iPadOS 18
If history has taught us anything, it’s that major macOS releases are slightly delayed compared to iOS and iPadOS. However, according to a report by MacRumors, that won’t be the case this year.
According to the publication, the full and final version of macOS Sequoia will be released alongside iOS 18 and iPadOS 18, not a few weeks or a month later as we’ve seen in the past. That’s actually fantastic news, because this means users will get a consistent software experience across the board and the Mac won’t be left out running last year’s software compared to the iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, etc.
But, there is one thing that will be delayed, and that’s Apple Intelligence. macOS Sequoia 15.0 will be released on time, but if you’re expecting to test out Apple Intelligence on day one, you may want to hold your horses back until macOS 15.1 is released. If I were to take a wild guess, Apple may release macOS 15.1 alongside new Macs in October. Again, just a guess, nothing else.
October is going to be a hardware-packed month for the Mac, and we can expect the company to announce a brand new M4 MacBook Pro and a bunch of other Macs. If you’ve been looking into buying that new Mac, you may want to hold back just a while longer. It’s better to invest money in something that’s more recent than a computer that will be last year’s story in a couple of months time.
For the Mac, this is going to be a huge year. From macOS Sequoia with Apple Intelligence to the powerful M4 Macs, it’s the best time to switch over to the Mac.
