The new color option in the iPhone 16 Pro lineup that has been called Bronze so far may actually be ‘Desert Titanium.’
iPhone 16 Pro Lineup Colors will Include ‘Desert Titanium’ Instead of the Rumored Bronze
We went from Rose to Bronze, and now the latest leak suggests that the new color option in the iPhone 16 Pro lineup could be called Desert Titanium. It is described as a darker shade of gold which is “relatively discreet and deep.” That’s an interesting description and needless to say it will be the ‘flagship color’ this year, much like how Natural Titanium was in the iPhone 15 Pro lineup.
From the looks of it, the new Desert Titanium color in the iPhone 16 Pro lineup is going to replace Blue Titanium. Natural Titanium seems to be staying and may see a slight change in tone this year towards a shade of gray. We will know for sure when Apple announces the entire lineup next month.
We did see the iPhone 16 Pro colors leak just recently. However, the latest leak of the camera ring gives us a clear indication of what to expect next month. But, I will say this once again – a lot can change when the phones are officially announced. But given the leaker has a great track record, I’m assuming this is as close as we get to the real thing.
Despite what the leak suggests, I’m not a fan of ‘special’ colors. They look great in marketing images but don’t do well with cases and wallpapers. I still remember getting the Deep Purple iPhone 14 Pro and there was not a single case that went well with that finish, except for the Forest Green Leather Case from Apple. Everything else looked bad. So, I’m not doing that again.
