Download and install watchOS 11 beta 6 today, if you are currently testing out the software on your Apple Watch.

watchOS 11 Beta 6 is Now Ready to Download and Install on Apple Watch – Go Ahead and Give it a Spin

There’s only one way off the beta channel if you have watchOS beta installed – download and install each and every beta update as it arrives since there’s no way to downgrade. Today, watchOS 11 beta 6 has arrived and you can download it right away bringing you one step closer to the final and public build. Like any other beta update of watchOS 11, this one brings stability and slight performance enhancements, too.

In order to download and install watchOS 11 beta 6, here’s what you need to do:

  • Place the Apple Watch on its magnetic charger and make sure the battery is above 50%.
  • On your iPhone, launch the ‘Watch’ app.
  • Now go to General > Software Update.
  • Give it a while and the watchOS 11 beta 6 will show up. Download it, install it.

The installation is going to take a while, therefore I recommend installing the update overnight rather than your favorite coffee shop, unless you really, really want that latest software update right away. It’s entirely your call, I’m not going to judge.

watchOS updates are meant to be tested by developer only. If you are not one, you probably believe you’ve made a mistake updating to the developer beta. Therefore, I always recommend installing these updates on spare or secondary devices rather than primary ones. This way, you will never regret the decision to upgrade.

Now that watchOS 11 beta 6 is here, you don’t have to worry about living the beta life too much. Apple is going to announce the final release date of watchOS 11 alongside the new iPhones and that should feel like a glass of cold water.

Ready to try out watchOS 11 beta? Follow the tutorial for installing the public beta here, and developer beta here. And remember, once you upgrade to the beta, you can’t downgrade back. I can’t emphasize on this enough.
