Latest Story Shows How Find My Helped Track Down an Entire Ferrari
There are countless stories out there surrounding Find My and how it helped track down something that was lost or stolen. Today’s story is absolutely fantastic, because a pair of AirPods were involved in finding an entire car. A Ferrari, to be more precise.
The Ferrari in question was stolen from Greenwich, and the owner accidentally forgot his AirPods inside his expensive car. Though the car was gone, the Waterbury’s Auto Theft Task Force found it at gas station on South Main Street later.
The location of the car was found using the owner’s AirPods that were inside the car with Find My enabled. If you ever need proof how helpful Find My can be, this is a very, very good example.
A lot of times, users believe turning off Find My is a genius idea because it saves battery life. I’m here to tell you it’s the worst thing you can do on any of your Apple devices. Whether it’s an iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch or AirPods, keep that Find My switch on at all times.
Even if you have an Android phone or tablet, make sure you have Find My Device enabled. Make sure it’s the first thing you enable and ensure it’s enabled by trying the feature out in a web browser.
