Apple is going to announce the AirPods Max 2 today after all. However, there might not be an Apple Watch Ultra 3.

Last-Minute Report Suggests we will See the AirPods Max 2 Today While There Will Not be an Apple Watch Ultra 3

Reports regarding the new AirPods Max have been all over the place. Though the upgraded headphones with USB-C are definitely coming, the latest report suggested we might not see the refresh we wanted today.

However, Mark Gurman shared his last-minute report for the ‘It’s Glowtime’ event and says Apple might launch AirPods Max 2 today after all. The update will include USB-C, improved noise canceling and adaptive audio support which will bring it on par with the AirPods Pro.

Secondly, and this one is very strange – Apple might not launch the Apple Watch Ultra 3 today. Instead, Apple might just launch the Ultra 2 in a brand new ‘Black’ color option. This is a strange move – if Apple is going to launch a new color option only, it means there won’t be a new Apple Watch Ultra for at least six months or more.

Personally, I believe that move makes sense. The Apple Watch is an expensive smartwatch and giving it a slightly longer shelf life makes sense compared to the base Apple Watch models.

There are going to be a lots of last-minute reports, however, I’m going to stop my coverage right here. We are just a few hours away from the event itself and it’s best to just dive right into the real thing than rely on a barrage of rumors and reports.
