Apple has announced the release date of visionOS 2 software update for the Vision Pro.
Official Release Date of visionOS 2 Update Set for 16th of September
You have been waiting for a new software update for your Vision Pro for a while now. Thankfully, that update, visionOS 2, is not too far away. Apple says the update will be available to everyone for download on the 16th of September. That’s the official release date of visionOS 2 and you should save it.
Once the 16th of September is here, just launch Settings, go to General > Software Update to download visionOS 2. It will take a while to download and install, and you can start enjoying all the new features of the update straight away
Those features include the ability to use the Vision Pro as an ultra-wide screen monitor for your Mac. You can even use your Magic Mouse to navigate the visionOS UI. Interestingly, you also get SharePlay for Photos, allowing two users with Vision Pro to experience and share photos together.
There are a ton of things you can look forward to and it’s all coming on the 16th of September. Make sure you write that date down somewhere.
