Apple Watch Series 10 now official with larger display and thinner design. Here are all the features, price and release date details.
Apple Watch Series 10 Announced with Larger Display, New Aluminum Finishes and More
It all starts with the display – the Series 10 has a larger display that is even bigger than the Apple Watch Ultra. This means you get an extra of everything, including an extra line of text which is also perfect for writing text messages.
In case you’re wondering, the Series 10 is available in 42mm and 46mm sizes.
Series 10 is also the fastest-charging Apple Watch. It charges from 0 to 80% in just 30 minutes. This is perfect for those who keep on forgetting to charge their Apple Watch before doing something important – such as heading to the gym or catching a flight.
Once fully charged, you can get up to 18 hours of battery life out of it. Thanks to fast charging, I wouldn’t ever worry about that number.
Polished Titanium is a brand new finish you can buy the Series 10 in. It ditches the stainless steel case which makes the Series 10 way lighter than before.
If you are planning to buy the Aluminum finish, you’ll be pleased to learn Series 10 is now available in a brand new Jet Black finish. Remember the Jet Black iPhone 7? Yes, that. I’m not sure how it will hold up against scratches over time, because the iPhone 7 didn’t win any awards for it.
Apart from the Jet Black finish, you can buy the watch in natural, gold and slate finishes.
Powered by the new S10 chip, the Apple Watch is faster than before. Features like Crash Detection, Double Tap and more perform way better, too. But that’s not all, it even enables features like sleep apnea detection, allowing you to see whether or not you are affected by sleep apnea.
Do keep in mind sleep apnea detection is currently in the process of approval. Once approved, it will be available in hundreds of countries around the world.
Remember the depth meter from the Apple Watch Ultra? That too is coming to the Series 10 – one less reason to get the Ultra. Ouch. But it gets better – Series 10 will even tell you the water temperature apart from depth.
Series 10 starts at $399, pre-order starts today and available September 20th.
