According to a brand new report, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch SE 3 will launch in 2025.
Apple Didn’t Announce the Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch SE 3 Yesterday but it’s on Track for a 2025 Release
Apple Watch Ultra 3 was Apple’s best announcement yesterday. Just kidding, Apple didn’t even mention it. Instead, it launched the second-generation Ultra in a brand new black finish. Apart from that, the widely rumored Apple Watch SE 3 didn’t even get a mention yesterday either.
Today, Ming-Chi Kuo has stepped into the scene once again for some supply chain wisdom and reveals that the new Apple Watch Ultra 3 and Apple Watch SE 3 will be a part of Apple’s 2025 Apple Watch lineup. It’s a rather interesting move from Apple, especially given how the Series 10 is a huge upgrade over the Series 9. Launching anything else yesterday would have eaten into the sales of Apple’s standard lineup.
Interestingly, Ming-Chi Kuo predicted a year ago that the new Ultra 3 won’t be launching in 2024 at all. However, latest rumors disagreed with him and insisted that we will get an upgraded rugged watch from Apple.
For me, the biggest surprise was the absence of the Apple Watch SE 3. To give you an idea when Apple refreshed the Apple Watch SE, it was back in 2022. It’s been a while since it received an upgrade and this year would have been nice. But hey, Cupertino needs to sell that new Series 10 as much as possible before it talks about something else.
Honestly, I believe the Apple Watch Series 10 is a fantastic upgrade and one which everyone should consider before buying something else. The larger model offers a bigger display than the Ultra, it has a faster processor, amazing sounding speakers and so much more. I wouldn’t put my money anywhere else given how much value the Series 10 is currently offering.
