You really don’t have to wait until next week to download and install watchOS 11. Just download the RC build right now on Apple Watch.
Final Version of watchOS 11 will be Released Next Week, But You Can Download the RC on Any Apple Watch Today
The watchOS 11 RC is out and if you’ve been testing out the developer or public beta for a while, you probably went ahead and downloaded it on your Apple Watch already. However, if you haven’t even tested watchOS 11 and want to install the RC right now, you can totally do that.
First of all, you have to sign up using your Apple Account on the following website: beta.apple.com and once you are done, follow the steps outlined below:
Step 1. Make sure your iPhone is running iOS 18 RC. More details can be found here.
Step 2. Once this is done, launch the Watch app on your iPhone.
Step 3. Now go to General > Software Update.
Step 4. Open Beta Updates and select watchOS 11 Public Beta.
Step 5. The watchOS 11 RC build will show right up for download. It’s that easy.
You really don’t have to install the update today if you don’t feel like it. It’s just an option available to everyone if they can’t wait an extra week.
As for me, I’m going to download and install watchOS 11 next week. Though the RC is the same thing, but waiting a tad bit more for a software update really gets me excited, especially when you download it with the rest of the world on the official day.
