Apple Releases iOS 18.1 Beta 3 for iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro with Apple Intelligence Features – Releasing in October for Everyone
It’s no secret that Apple’s latest lineup of iPhones aren’t shipping with Apple Intelligence features out of the box despite being made ground-up with Apple Intelligence in mind. However, iOS 18.1 will bring those AI features to the new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, and today Apple is releasing the first beta of iOS 18.1 for the latest iPhones.
iOS 18.1 beta 3 has been around for a while now, and the moment you get your hands on your new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro, you can install the beta, take it for a test drive and see how it performs on Apple’s latest flagship hardware. That’s why you’re buying the new iPhones for, right? Why stick to iOS 18.0 when you can take a massive leap right after unboxing your flagship phone.
The full and final version of iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 will be available in October. However, the update will not include every single thing Apple announced at WWDC this year. Image Playground and Genmoji will be released later as part of the iOS 18.2 and iPadOS 18.2 update. ChatGPT support and an enhanced version of Siri is also supposed to be made available down the line. In other words, there’s a lot to look forward to in terms of Apple Intelligence.
I believe users are really going to love the Image Playground app since it has that fun element to it. And the best part is – it works entirely on device which means all your prompts and creations remain private. Another popular feature is going to be Writing Tools. This one is going to be a hit among office goers where words need to be accurate otherwise chaos will ensue. Apple Intelligence will correct every line of text for you, ensuring you sound professional and to the point.
While all of this is releasing in October, we can look forward to iOS 18.0 and iPadOS 18.0 on Monday. With iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 RC already available, I’m glad the summer is over and we can start diving into the final release of Apple’s big software lineup.
