You can now download and install macOS Sequoia 15.0 RC build on your Mac right away. Let me show you how.

Apple Releases macOS Sequoia 15.0 RC – Now Available for Download and Install

The day Apple releases the release candidate (RC) build of anything, it feels great. It feels like you’ve hit a personal milestone. In fact, it is a person milestone, because you survived using each and every single beta update of macOS Sequoia 15.0 to date. As a treat, you can now download and install the RC version of macOS Sequoia 15.0.

What is the RC version of macOS Sequoia anyway? It is the final version of the update for Apple’s desktop platform that is released to developers and public beta testers before rolled out to everyone with a compatible Mac around the world. If no bugs are found, Apple will release today’s build to everyone else a week later. If a bug or two is found, Apple may tweak the build a little and release that instead.

If you are currently running any beta of macOS Sequoia on your Mac, make sure you follow the steps in order to download macOS Sequoia 15.0 RC right away:

Step 1. Launch ‘System Settings.’

Step 2. Click on ‘General.’

Step 3. Click on ‘Software Update.’

Step 4. When macOS Sequoia RC shows up, install it right away.

Remember, this is macOS Sequoia 15.0 you are currently downloading. macOS 15.1 with Apple Intelligence features will be available for download later this year, most likely in October. And those features will only be available on your device if you own something with Apple silicon inside. Apple Intelligence is not compatible with Intel chips at all.

The moment you download the update, you’ll notice how everything is extremely stable compared to the beta version. Once third-party app updates start to pour in with support for Sequoia, that’s when the game will completely change.

Though this is the RC version of macOS Sequoia, but whenever the final version arrives, make sure you set your Mac to stop receiving further Sequoia beta updates. Enjoy the stable version of macOS Sequoia for a while before you hop onto your next beta endeavor.
