You can now download visionOS 2 beta 9 on your Vision Pro. Here’s how you can install it right away.
Apple Releases visionOS 2 Beta 9 for Vision Pro – Includes More Bug Fixes and Improvements
Before I move forward at all, I want to make it clear there’s no public beta of visionOS 2. If someone says there is, it’s far from the truth and you shouldn’t fall for it. It’s likely a scam to get you into install a shady profile onto your Vision Pro headset. So please, stay away from it.
With that said, if you’ve been running visionOS 2 beta 8 for a while now, you will be pleased to learn that beta 9 is now available for download. Just like the previous beta, the steps for downloading and installing the update are exactly the same. Just go to Settings > General > Software Update on your Vision Pro and you can download visionOS 2 beta 9 from there.
Given we are under a week away from the new iPhone launch, this is likely the last beta of visionOS 2. Apple is going to seed the RC version of its entire software lineup soon and you should totally look forward to that. Why? Because it’s the final software meant to be tested by developers before it rolls out publicly. In other words, developers and public beta testers get the final version of the software before anyone else.
Living the beta software life can be extremely tough, especially if you are running the software on your daily driver device. I never recommend it, but if you still insist on it, more power to you.
