Having trouble with iMessage and FaceTime? Apple is having issues, and their official website confirms it.
iMessage and FaceTime Currently Facing Issues Around the World on All Devices
Update: Apple’s official System Status website says everything has been fixed.
When it comes to service up-time, Apple hasn’t been having the best of days lately. Today, their System Status page confirms that the company is experiencing issues with iMessage and FaceTime both.
Interestingly, the service isn’t completely down, it’s currently in the yellow, meaning the service works, but not like it should. This also means it is the worst time ever to set up a brand new device. In such situations, iMessage and FaceTime completely fail to activate, which will definitely prove to be a frustrating experience.
Usually, issues like these don’t stick around for long and Apple fixes them immediately. Sometimes, it may take several days to get things up and running, like the recent Private Relay issue. However, given how important iMessage and FaceTime are as core services, Apple will probably get this one fixed soon.
In the meantime, don’t be surprised if messages fail to deliver or FaceTime calls take way too long to connect.
