Apple is going to hold an event in the coming weeks to announce a bunch of stuff including M4 Macs, iPad 11 and the iPad mini 7.
New Report Says Apple is Holding an Event in the ‘Coming Weeks’ to Announce M4 Macs, iPad mini 7 and Possibly iPad 11
I have been hearing about this event for a very long time. Today, Mark Gurman has stepped in once more with a brand new newsletter saying that the event is happening in ‘the coming weeks.’ But, the newsletter goes into details what the company is expected to announce, something which we have already heard about.
Apple is definitely going to announce a new M4 iMac it seems and there’s no mention whether the iMac will come in more chip options and whether or not the accessories will ship with USB-C. Given everything is now USB-C, it’s safe to assume the new iMac will ship with updated accessories, too.
The new Mac mini with M4 is definitely coming at this event and it will have a brand new design, something which we have already heard about. A smaller design and a lack of USB-A ports is something we can all expect with the launch.
The 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro will be updated with the M4 chip. These new laptops will feature M4, M4 Pro and M4 Max chips which means users won’t be limited to the base M4 chip. There will be no design change this year.
Now comes the interesting part, for me, at least.
The iPad 11 is most likely going to get an update at the event. Though no details have been shared, apart from them being ‘colorful,’ I expect these iPads to feature Apple Intelligence. There’s no way Apple is going to miss this opportunity at all. If there’s one way to bring AI to more people, it’s to start at the very bottom of the lineup.
Last but not the least, the iPad mini 7 is going to be announced with a faster processor, faster Wi-Fi and a display that does not suffer from jelly scrolling. I’m going to assume once again that this new iPad mini is going to feature Apple Intelligence. And in an iPad this size, it makes the perfect sense, especially when you add in cellular capabilities to the mix.
