Apple Won’t be Announcing New AirPods Max on Monday – However, a New Model is Coming Later
Monday is all about iPhones, Apple Watches and AirPods. However, it’s not going to be about AirPods Max at all, according to Mark Gurman. This means you can dial down your hopes and not worry about Apple’s over-ear headphones at all. At least for now.
Given the new AirPods Max aren’t being announced on Monday doesn’t mean they’re not coming at all. Mark Gurman says Apple is working on a new model with USB-C and brand new color options, and Apple has so much inventory of the current Max headphones at hand that it will launch the news one later.
Believe it or not, the AirPods Max were announced back in December of 2020. Despite their high price point, they are immensely popular among fans. Even I use them daily – I’m wearing them right now. They’re absolutely perfect, but it would be nice if Apple finally gave them the upgrade they absolutely need.
Apart from USB-C and new colors, I expect Apple to include a brand new audio chip, Adaptive Noise Control and the new nod gestures that work with Siri. Improved audio quality is definitely going to be a part of the upgrade. Given how good the first-generation model is, I can’t wait to hear the new ones.
