Apple’s Special ‘It’s Glowtime’ Event Starts at 10am PT, Watch the Company Unveil the iPhone 16 Live
Apple’s ‘It’s Glowtime’ special event will be live streamed around the world. Thankfully, you can watch all the announcements live right on YouTube.
Below, you’ll find the embedded official streaming link for the event:
At the time of writing, the event hasn’t started yet. But, the world is expecting the company to announce the iPhone 16 lineup of phones, Apple Watch Series 10, Apple Watch Ultra 3, AirPods 4 and if are extremely lucky, something else, too. Though I doubt Apple will announce anything else, but hey, it never hurts to speculate, right?
For me, the biggest surprise in the event will be an upgrade to the iPad mini 7. Though a report did say it’s not happening, with the update set for later this year instead, but announcing the iPad mini refresh will take the thunder away from the iPhone 16 lineup of phones. It’s a smart move from Apple to keep things focused on a handful of devices only.
In October, Apple is expected to hold another event where it will announce M4 powered Macs. This includes the iMac, MacBook Pro and a brand new Mac mini with a very small footprint. Apart from this, the company is expected to ditch the 8GB of RAM in favor of 16GB across the board. This should help the new Mac computers in AI tasks and boost performance in key areas.
However, I have this feeling this tiny little upgrade to 16GB may come with a slight increase in the overall cost of the Mac. If Apple manages to keep it unchanged, it will be awesome. If the price increase is beyond the $100 mark, it might not be favorable for a lot of people out there.
With around 24 hours to go until the special event, I’m really excited. This is the event that shapes up the mobile industry for the coming year. It will be interesting to see what new surprise Apple will bring to the table. Who knows it might just be the return of leather accessories for the iPhone, right?
