Looks like the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus aren’t doing that great, but the Pro and Pro Max are doing well for Apple.
Apple May have Cut Down on iPhone 16 Orders but the Pro Lineup is Doing Very Well this Year
For some reason, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are doing great which goes to show which phone buyers prefer this year. On the other hand, the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus aren’t doing that well.
In a post over at Medium, Ming-Chi Kuo has chimed in with his supply chain wisdom and has revealed that Apple has cut down iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus orders from its suppliers by 10 million units.
Whether that’s good news or bad news, depends on how you look at it.
On the other hand, the company is putting its resources on the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max as these phones are doing exceptionally well among buyers. Apple must be anticipating a solid holiday quarter, thanks to its Pro lineup.
Then it’s most likely good news, right? Of course, it is. Selling a pricier phone on top of the standard model is always a good thing in terms of business.
You’d expect the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus to do very well compared to the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max. After all, these phones offer pretty much everything a regular user would ask for, including all Apple Intelligence features and that fast new A18 chip. But, for some reason, the Pro lineup reigns supreme.
Good for you, Apple.
