We just got the new iPad mini and rumors about iPad mini 8 featuring an OLED display are already flying around.

Rumor Suggests New iPad mini 8 Will Get the OLED Display Upgrade Many Fans are Asking for

The kind of ‘upgrades’ iPad mini 7 brings to the table, it’s obvious the true focus was to bring Apple Intelligence to the smaller tablet, nothing else.

A simple addition of the A17 Pro made that happen.

Things like bringing an OLED display to the iPad mini wasn’t even a priority for Apple this year. However, according to post by Ross Young on X, the next iPad mini, the iPad mini 8, is going feature an OLED display.

That’s the only detail that exists, nothing else.

However, the switch to OLED will instantly bring a ton of benefits to iPad mini. For example, excellent contrast ratio is right at the top of the list. You can also expect the tablet to feature Dolby Vision and proper HDR support. Higher brightness is also going to be another advantage.

Though this sounds so good, but do you have any idea when the sixth-generation iPad mini was released? Back in 2021. The seventh-generation model was released just now in 2024. So, keeping that trend in mind, the eighth-generation iPad mini won’t be here until 2027, at least.

I hope I’m wrong and Apple releases the next iPad mini sooner rather than later.
