Starting today, transcriptions in Apple Podcasts are available in 8 additional language apart from English, French, German, and Spanish.

Apple Podcasts Adds Transcriptions for 8 Additional Languages Other from English, French, German and Spanish

Transcriptions in Apple Podcasts is an amazing feature that was first released with iOS 17.4 and iPadOS 17.4. To put it in plain words, transcription are basically subtitles of the podcast you’re listening to. You can just read the entire transcript like a book, if you wanted to as well.

For those who don’t know, tapping on a certain section of the transcription will take you to that part of the podcast instantly.

Currently available in English, French, German and Spanish, Apple is taking things further by introducing transcriptions in 8 additional languages, according to iCulture.

And those languages are:

  • Brazilian Portugese
  • Danish
  • Dutch
  • Finnish
  • Italian
  • Norwegian
  • Portugese
  • Swedish

Apple Podcasts gets a lot of flak for not being that great. It’s my go-to app and it is supposed to do one job and it does it well – nothing more, nothing less. Sure, it can do with some feature additions, but I rather dive into my podcast than be overwhelmed with settings.

Lastly, you can always download an alternative app for podcasts on the App Store. There are a ton of options already out there.
