Have you ever cleaned the mesh on your AirPods Pro 2? Apple has posted an official video tutorial for it.
Apple has Posted the Official AirPods Pro 2 Mesh-Cleaning Tutorial – All You Need is Micellar Water and a Soft Toothbrush
How do you usually clean your AirPods Pro 2? I’m sure most of you give them a good wipe down using a slightly damp cloth, dry them up and put them back inside the charging case, right?
The mesh on the AirPods Pro can get very, very dirty, too. If you wear your AirPods Pro 2 outdoors a little too much, you might have noticed that the mesh is slightly clogged up. While you might have dismissed it, but it does affect the performance of your AirPods Pro 2.
Little do people know that the mesh needs a clean-up from time to time as well. Apple has posted the official video tutorial for it and you really have to watch it closely before you attempt this.
The amount of care we give our AirPods Pro, Apple straight up rubbed a wet toothbrush on them. While it does look a little extreme, it gives me confidence in one thing – that IP54 rating is no joke and a wipe down using a wet toothbrush can be easily walked off.
Basically, the magic lies in micellar water and a soft-bristled toothbrush. Find both and you have the essentials to clean the AirPods Pro 2 mesh in no time.
Do keep one thing in mind though, the tutorial is applicable to the second-generation AirPods Pro model only. I will not recommend following the steps on any other pair of earphones. Please visit your manufacturer’s website for tutorials on how to clean the earphones you have.
I will highly recommend watching the tutorial at least twice before you attempt anything. Yo don’t have to drench your AirPods Pro 2 in water in order to clean them up. These things require care and it’s best to follow the steps Apple has outlined for you.
