As Apple inches closer to the release of iPhone SE 4, the company has started sourcing OLED displays from suppliers.
iPhone SE 4 All Set for Release Next Year as Apple Starts Sourcing OLED Displays from its Suppliers
All the reports say only one thing at this point – the new iPhone SE 4 is set for release early next year. However, as we move closer to the imminent release, Apple has started to source OLED displays from suppliers, according to DigiTimes.
Apple is sourcing OLED displays for the new iPhone SE from “BOE and other Chinese suppliers.” This only means one thing, everything is on track and all we need is a solid release date along with an event invite (maybe) to set things in stone.
Do keep in mind Apple usually releases the iPhone SE with a press release, nothing more. Who knows things might be different this time.
The next iPhone SE is going to be a huge upgrade compared to anything Apple has released in the lineup. The Home button is going away and the phone is set to embrace the design of the iPhone 14.
The one thing that will make the new iPhone SE a great smartphone is the A18 chip which also means everyone gets iPhone 16 level of performance at a far lesser price.
However, this chip upgrade is also going to make Apple Intelligence possible, a feature exclusive to a select few iPhones currently. With iPhone SE joining the compatibility list next year, Apple is set to have a solid portfolio of devices that will be driven by AI.
But, recent reports show Apple Intelligence is not a huge factor behind iPhone 16 sales, at least, not yet, since the feature is not even here for any device unless you are ready to take the beta route. Who knows the new iPhone SE might ‘suffer’ the same way as the iPhone 16 as well.
Let’s see how things change as this month comes to an end.
