If you’re all about having a setup with multiple external displays, then the new MacBook Pro is the only laptop you should consider.

Apple’s Latest MacBook Pro can Have up to 5 (4 External +1 Internal) Displays Running at the Same Time

Apple’s new 2024 MacBook Pro lineup is insane in terms of power. Just like last year, the company overdid it with a bunch of great under-the-hood changes.

This year, the company’s focus on productivity goes through the roof, especially when it comes to connecting multiple displays.

The M4 Max model, in particular, supports up to 4 external displays at the same time. This means you get up to 5 displays to play around with because the internal display keeps on running at native resolution and colors, too.

Apple says you can connect up to 3 external displays with 6K resolution at 60Hz using Thunderbolt and 1 display at 4K resolution at 144Hz using the HDMI port.

That internal display stays on during this, keep that in mind once again.

However, if you’re all about high-resolution setups and consider 6K a thing of the past, Apple has you covered on that end, too.

Apple says you can connect 2 external displays to this laptop in 6K resolution at 60Hz using Thunderbolt, and 1 external display at up to 8K resolution at 60Hz, or a 4K monitor at 240Hz using HDMI.

That HDMI port is rather interesting. It supports up to 8K resolution at 60Hz or a 4K monitor at 240Hz. It’s a great way to have a setup that is focused around high refresh rate.

Long story short, if you care about having multiple monitors on your desk for ultimate multitasking and productivity, just get the MacBook Pro with M4 Max. While the M4 Pro model does a good job as well, but it just can’t beat the power expansion of the top-end model.
