Today, I’m going to show you how to disable the in-app rating and review popup on the iPhone and iPad.
You Can Disable the Rating and Review Popup in Apps and Games on iPhone and iPad in Just 3 Steps
I’m sure you download plenty of apps and games based on reviews and ratings it has received on the App Store. A lot of us do that, it’s a normal thing to do, too.
Another thing you might have noticed is how some apps and games will suddenly ask you to rate and review them on the App Store. That popup shows up out of nowhere and can be a little frustrating if you have decided to never ever review or rate an app in your life for iPhone and iPad.
That’s pretty normal, too.
If you don’t like that popup showing up from time to time, you can disable it completely and never see it again.
Here’s what you have to do on your iPhone and iPad:
Step 1. Launch the ‘Settings’ app.
Step 2. Scroll down and find ‘App Store.’ Tap on it to open.
Step 3. You’re now face-to-face with a sea of options. Scroll down and find ‘In-App Ratings & Reviews’ and turn it off.
From now on, not a single app or game will ask you to review or rate it on the App Store.
While I understand the need to disable the review and ratings popup, but do keep in mind that a ton of great apps and games require this sort of feedback so that other people can make a download decision as well.
I’m not saying you should enable the popup – keep it off forever. But, I will ask you to head over to the App Store once in a while and give your feedback to the developer. Just a small review and some star rating is enough to give the developer the motivation to keep on doing great work.
